本日のブログではエッジ交換をする際にウーファー、ミッドバスの同時交換をお勧めする理由を説明したいと思います。
Today I will write about why we recommend both the woofers and the mid-range drivers to have their foams changed at the same timing.
上の写真は当社で特別に製作している人工セーム革エッジ、15インチウーファー用と10インチミッドバス用のものです。
In the photo above are the artificial leather foams that we have originally made for 15 inch woofers and the 10 inch mid-range drivers.
こちらの写真で見られる様に、お客様がエッジ交換を依頼される際はウレタン製のエッジが経年劣化で朽ちている状態がほとんどのケースです。
As you can see in the photo, in most cases when the customers ask us to change the foams of their speaker components, the original urethane foams have deteriorated.
場合によってはウーファーのみボロボロになっており、ミッドバスは一見異変がないように見えることもあります。
Sometimes, the woofer's foams have completely crumbled away, but the mid-range driver's foams seem as if there is no problem.
しかしながら、同期間使用されていたミッドバスのエッジは外観上問題なさそうに見えても、同じように経年劣化していることが予測されます。
Although they appear to have no problem by the looks of the exterior, parts that aren't visible may be deteriorated.
その様な状況でウーファーのみエッジが新品になってしまうと、本来のスピーカーのバランスがくずれてしまいます。
If only the woofer's foams become new, the balance of the speaker will be broken, and will not be able to play how it was designed to.
