本日のブログでは現在作業を進めているハーツフィールドに搭載するJBL 150-4Cの新品リコーンの様子を紹介したいと思います。
In today's blog, I would like to share with you the reconing process of JBL 150-4Cs, which will be used for the JBL Hartsfields that we are working on at the moment.
150-4Cのリコーン作業はコーン紙の加工から始まります。使うコーン紙は、コーンとギャザードペーパーエッジが一体型のフィクスドエッジタイプのものです。
The reconing of the 150-4C starts with processing the cone itself. We will be using a cone with fixed gathered paper surrounds.
まず、ボイスコイルがちょうど取り付けられるほどの大きさに底面を加工します。ハサミを使い適度に切り抜いたら、最後はサンドペーパーを使って微調整します。ボイスコイルのフィット具合が緩すぎると接着の際にコーン紙が変形する恐れがあります。逆にフィット具合がきつすぎると、ボイスコイルが変形してしまう恐れがあります。
The first step is to cut the inner circumference so that the voice coil fill fit stably. Cut using scissors first, and make the finishing touches with sand paper. If the voice coil is too loose, there is a possibility that the cone will deform when you attach it; and if it is too tight, the voice coil will deform.
次に、エッジとコーン紙全体のエージング加工です。残念ながら詳細はお伝え出来ませんが、当社のノウハウを反映した特別な方法でエージングを施します。この作業が準備段階の肝であり、完成時の出音を左右します。数日間かけて調整をしたコーン紙を使って組みあげたスピーカーは、最大限自由に振幅することができ、150-4Cが秘めている潜在能力を引き出すことができます。
The next step is to work on the cone and the surrounds. I'm afraid I can't share our process since it is a special way that we took some time and work to complete; but by applying this process(which takes a few days), we are able to age the cone and the surrounds. In which case we are able to achieve as much movement of the cone as possible when the speakers are made. Thus pulling out the full potential the 150-4C possess.
