JBL 4311カスタムのネットワークをキャビネット内に取り付ける作業を開始します。最終段階であるこの組み込み作業中にピアノ塗装されているこのキャビネットを傷つけてしまわないように細心の注意を払いながら作業を進める必要があります。
I have started to install the JBL 4311 custom crossovers in to the speaker cabinet. I must be extra careful not to scratch or damage the piano finished cabinet in during these final procedures.


こちらは最近紹介しているJBL 4345のキャビネットレストア作業です。サンディングをしているところですね。
This is the JBL 4345 cabinet restoration work I have been posting recently. The cabinet is being sanded.


次はJBL4311カスタムネットワークと一緒に進めていた同じユニット構成、ネットワーク仕様のJBL 4312Bのネットワーク作業を進めていきます。コンデンサー類の配線は終わっていますので、トランス式アッテネーター間やユニットへ行く配線を行い、仮測定をします。
Next, I will work on the JBL 4312B custom crossovers that I have been working on simultaneously as the ones mentioned above, which uses the same drivers and crossover specifications. The wiring of the capacitor section has been already done, after I connect them to the transformer type attenuators I will test its filter characteristics.

この写真はJBL 4345のキャビネットのレストアをしている様子です。キャビネット底面にある袴を仕上げているところです。
This is a JBL 4345 cabinet being restored. It is placed upside down and the base part is being worked on.


こちらの写真はピアノ塗装の特別仕様JBL C37 Rhodesを天吊りするための作業をしている様子です。落下する心配のない様に適切な部品選びや設計を行う必要があります。
This is the piano finished JBL C37 Rhodes being worked on to hang it from the ceiling. For them to get hanged safely and stably, we must choose the parts to use and plan very carefully.


こちらはJBL 4311カスタムのネットワークを仮測定している様子です。問題がありませんでしたので、キャビネット内に取り付ける作業を開始します。各パーツをキャビネット内部に取り付け終えたら、配線をして、キャビネット外部背面に取り付けるフィルター用のファインメットカットコアコイルの最良音質取り付け方向をテストします。
These are the JBL 4311 custom crossovers being tested. No problems were found, so I will start to install them in to the speaker cabinet. After the installation and the wiring is done, we will test the best sounding direction to place the finemet cut core filter coils that will be placed on the outside of the speakers.

最近組みあがったJBL C36 Viscountの周波数特性の測定を行っています。各ステップで作業担当者が厳密にチェックしているとはいえ、最終測定で異常が見つかることもありますので、最後の最後まで気を抜けません。
I am taking the frequency characteristic data of the recently completed JBL C36 Viscounts. Although we are cautious with each step, a problem may be spotted during the final tests, so I have to stay focused till the end.




こちらは現在作業中のJBL 4311カスタムに搭載するネットワークの作業です。パーツの接着を終えたので、これから配線を進めていきます。配線が終わり次第、アッテネーター、コンデンサー、コイル間を仮配線し、フィルター特性を測定します。不具合や異常がないことを点検し終えたら、いよいよキャビネットへの取り付け作業を開始します。
These are the crossovers for the custom JBL 4311s and 4312Bs that we are working on now. I have placed each components in their ideal places, so I will start to wire them. Once the wiring is finished I will connect the attenuators, capacitors, and inductors using clips and temporary wires to test it's filter characteristics. After I have confirmed that there are no defects, I will start to install them into the speaker cabinets.
