JBL15インチウーファー、ダンパーの新規交換作業 Replacing worn out spiders from JBL 15" bass drivers

さて、本日取り上げるのはダンパー交換の作業の一部です。古いダンパーが経年劣化によりへたり交換が必要な場合、ダンパーを丁寧に除去する工程を伴います。この過程を抜きにしては、ボイスコイルがマグネットのセンターに位置するように新しいダンパーを取り付けることができません。
Today we will focus on a process in changing old spiders. When the old spiders are worn out and needs to be changed, we need to remove it completely, including the adhesives that were used. Unless we remove all the old spiders, we can not attach the new spiders in place for the voice coil to come to the center position to the magnet.

まず、ダンパーを小回りが利くデザインカッターとニッパーを用いて切り取り、ボイスコイルの付け根に接着されている僅かな部分だけを残します。次に、残りはリューターを使って綺麗に除去します。
First, we will cut the old spiders leaving only the part that was attached to the voice coil.


上部写真のようなダンパーの接着部分を取り除かなくてはなりません。
The remains of the spiders seen in the photo above needs to be removed.


上部写真のようにリューターを使い削り取ります。
In this photo, we are using a rotary tool to remove the remains.


上部写真のように除去することによって、新しいダンパー位置の調整が可能になります。
Only then, we are able to adjust the spider to the ideal position.
